The Wellness Card -www.yourwellnesscard.com
A free benefit of membership for your employees (full and part time) their families (retirees, too, if any and contract employees too if you wish to include them).
Original Objective of this Program:
To provide an employee benefit to cover the niches and gaps of most health plans including certain prescriptions, complementary medicine, eye care and much more.
New Objectives for this Program:
Include the original goal of helping consumers save on health care costs and now also include: *Building consumerism by teaching your employees and their dependants about health care costs and pricing variation and how to save
* Creating transparency – this program reveals the actual cost of many medical products and services to the consumer.
* Improving the health and wellbeing of your employees with new wellness resources to be a basic program or complement what you may already do.
You Design the Program You Want:
Whether you decide to give your employees, retirees, dependants, etc. access to all programs or select specific benefits, we can help you with a targeted flyer, internet site or other approaches to maximize this program’s effectiveness for you. Because most discounts can be targeted to non covered benefits/services, even covered employees can use much of this program.
You decide what you want to provide to:
*Covered employees (they may have dependants without health coverage)
*Part time and/or contract employees who may have no benefits at all
*Retirees (if any) and their dependants too
A Sample Flyer is Available:
It can be as simple as downloading a card or giving cards out with a sample flyer that describes the basic benefits and refers employees to a website that answers their questions about how to use this program, even if they already have health plan coverage.
LHCA can make this program easy for you to use and it is provided at no cost – as part of your membership.
At a time when Benefits are being Taken Away:
This will be a welcome surprise to employees and retirees who are used to seeing benefits reduced and their out of pocket costs increasing each year.
Benefits Can Take the Place of Voluntary Programs:
If you offer voluntary benefits for which the employee must pay (example: vision plans) consider offering the free vision benefit to everyone.
For Non Covered Employees (or Non Covered Dependants):
This program can be extremely beneficial. Retirees too, really appreciate the prescription, vision, health clubs and hearing benefits.
